Product Introduction

Scrap steel shredder is a specialized equipment used for crushing metal waste such as scrap steel and scrap iron. It processes the metal into high-density particles through the tearing and shearing action of blades or hammers, making it easy to recycle and reuse. Its core function is to increase the density of scrap steel piles, separate impurities, and widely used in fields such as metal recycling and automobile dismantling.
The main function of the scrap steel shredder is to shred large pieces of metal materials and large-diameter metal materials that are inconvenient to transport into materials that meet the requirements through the cutting of the scrap iron shredder. The machine is mainly composed of a shredder blade group, a carrying box, a box bracket, a feeding system, a power system, and an electrical control system. Mainly used for shredding lightweight metals with certain strength, increasing their packing density for easy transportation and recycling. Tear up objects such as metal drums, refrigerators, cars, scrap steel, steel furniture, etc.


The scrap steel shredder equipment adopts a channel steel I-beam frame structure, without the need for a foundation. The lower body is made of thickened steel plate, which is firmly and stably fixed on the frame. The middle box adopts a pulley track opening type, and maintenance and replacement do not require lifting equipment, making it simple and easy to handle. The upper cover is equipped with a dust removal vent, which extracts all the dust in one go. Internally, an upper and lower arc-shaped lining screen is used, with one side for feeding and three sides for discharging. The screen adopts a washboard type, with ball rubbing and a paint removal effect of 98%. The large gap between the screen and the chassis can quickly remove large materials generated during the shredding process. A feeding area is formed between the feeding port and the screen, which can discharge waste materials without blocking the machine. There are three return areas at the upper arc lining screen and the upper box mouth, which allow the materials splashed during the normal shredding process to quickly bounce back to the cutter head for secondary and tertiary shredding work. The feeding angle is 40 °, and the feeding port is a winnowing type. The feeding port is equipped with a flattening roller feeding system, which can adjust the height and allow higher and more thrown materials to enter the machine port at a constant speed through rolling for shredding.

working principle

The shredder independently drives two main shafts to rotate forward and backward through dual motors. The moving blades on the main shafts interlock to form shear, the cutting edge of the moving blade forms shear with the cylindrical surface of the blade sleeve, and the torque and speed difference of the main shaft form tearing to achieve the crushing effect. Due to the interlocking of the moving blades, automatic feeding function can be achieved. The unique blade shaft structure ensures that there will be no entanglement or equipment jamming during low-speed and high torque production processes, thereby improving production efficiency. The core working principle of the shredder is based on the interaction between the dual axis or single axis rotating blade rollers. The surface of the knife roller is equipped with high-strength cutting tools, which are driven by a low-speed high torque motor to continuously shear the material. The arrangement of cutting tools (such as staggered or spiral) directly affects the crushing effect, while the spacing between the cutting rollers determines the particle size of the discharged material. The main body of the equipment adopts a metal frame structure, equipped with wear-resistant lining plates and dust-proof sealing devices to adapt to high-intensity working environments. Some models also integrate a hydraulic drive system, which can automatically adjust the inlet pressure to avoid material jamming problems.
